All doctors at Dr. Dropin can write a certificate of absence after a physical examination, if the medical requirements for a certificate are met. In most cases, the doctors can also assist via video.
A certificate of absence is assessed by a doctor when there are medical reasons that make it impossible to attend school. It is up to the doctor who writes the certificate to assess whether the conditions are met.
The main rule is that a medical certificate can be issued after the patient has undergone a physical examination by the doctor. This means that patients who seek a medical certificate from our doctors must first have a medical examination at one of our clinics. It is not always sufficient to describe symptoms over the phone, video or via e-dialog.
It is important that you contact a doctor on the same day that you become ill and need a certificate of absence. The doctor will make a medical assessment of whether you can get a certificate. Normally, a certificate is written for 1-2 days, but this depends on the type of illness you have which means you cannot attend school.
You get the certificate printed on paper and signed by the doctor.
