Are you the parent of a child who cannot or does not want to go to school?

October 12th, psychologist Anita Winther will hold a webinar to explore why and how school refusal can occur, what are the typical characteristics and what you as a parent can do to increase your child's experience of belonging to school, subjects, teachers and friends.

Anita herself has had children of school age and has experience from child and youth psychiatry. In addition to sharing her experience and knowledge in the area, Anita will answer questions from those of you who participate.

Who is the webinar suitable for?

The webinar is suitable for those of you who are curious about what happens when children and young people find it difficult to go to school or find that school is boring and unmotivating.

  • Which factors actually lead to dissatisfaction at school?
  • How can we understand children and young people with school absences?
  • What should be done to increase the experience of mastery, well-being and security in school?

In the webinar, you will gain insight into how you as a parent can be a good carer by early identifying the signs of absenteeism problems, as well as arranging and implementing measures to prevent school-related stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, loneliness and other psychological problems that have an impact on children and young people's well-being at school.
