Ultrasound-guided injection treatment
With us, all injections are guided by ultrasound. We offer cortisone, hyaluronic acid, and PRP.
A thorough clinical examination is always carried out before choosing a treatment. In the vast majority of cases, other treatment should be tried before injection is considered.

What is ultrasound-guided injection therapy?
Ultrasound-guided injection therapy is an advanced medical procedure that utilizes ultrasound technology to precisely deliver medications to specific areas of the body. By combining ultrasound imaging with injections, physicians can target treatment to exact areas of pain or inflammation, which can enhance treatment effectiveness and reduce the risk of side effects.
How does it work in practice?
During an ultrasound-guided injection therapy session, the physician guides an ultrasound probe over the skin to produce real-time images of the body's interior. These images provide the physician with detailed visual guidance, allowing them to accurately locate the affected area. The physician then administers an injection of medication directly to the specified area with precision and accuracy.
What conditions/injuries/pains can it help with?
Ultrasound-guided injection therapy can be beneficial for a variety of conditions, including:
- Arthritis: To relieve pain and inflammation in the joints.
- Tendonitis: To reduce pain and promote healing in the tendons.
- Back pain: To target treatment to specific back muscles or nerves.
- Shoulder pain: To treat rotator cuff injuries or other shoulder-related issues.
- Chronic muscle pain: To help loosen tight muscles and reduce pain.
This method provides patients with a gentle and effective treatment option that can help improve quality of life and reduce the need for pain medications.

Forms of treatment
Cortisone:
Injection treatment of joints, tendons or bursae with cortisone is used to relieve pain and inflammation. The procedure involves injecting corticosteroids directly into the affected area, such as a joint, tendon or sac, to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Cortisone has anti-inflammatory properties and can be effective for conditions such as tendinitis, arthritis or calcium deposits in tendons.
Hyaluronic acid:
Injection treatment of joints, tendon chains or mucous bags with hyaluronic acid is used to relieve pain and improve joint function. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the synovial fluid that acts as a lubricant and shock absorber. Injections of hyaluronic acid can help increase joint lubrication and relieve symptoms of conditions involving calcium deposits in tendons. This can improve joint mobility and reduce discomfort.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP):
Injection treatment of a joint, tendon chain or mucous bag with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) involves injecting the patient's own blood plasma rich in platelets into the affected area. PRP contains growth factors that can stimulate healing and reduce inflammation. This treatment is used to relieve pain and promote repair in conditions involving calcium deposits in tendons. PRP injections can help improve tissue healing and reduce symptoms.
